It's been a good year for figs here at the homestead, so I decided to make one of my childhood favorites available to friends of the homestead.

When I was a kid, I remember visiting my Uncle Doyle and his wife in Alabama.  One specific morning my aunt made some homemade biscuits and put a jar of homemade strawberry preserves on the table.  I remember asking my mother why her strawberry was so much better than the stuff from the store.  That's when I learned about Strawberry Fig Preserves.  MAGICAL!
